CIBC opens Aventura Lounge in Pearson Airport

CIBC has opened a lounge at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The CIBC Aventura Lounge, located in Terminal One of the airport, is intended to offer travellers a place past the security gate to relax prior to departing. Development was conducted by Fuse Marketing Group of Toronto in association with Toronto-based designers Marc Kyriacou and Christopher Grimston. The design is intended to be "modern," "stylish" and "luxurious," with various forms of seating and pods for brief sleep sessions. It also features a seven-foot tall tower visitors can use to recharge their digital devices. Tablets in the lounge offer free access to Next Issue magazines. The room also offers electronic games, prize giveaways, manicures, massages and vouchers for shoe shines. The lounge will be open until Jan. 11, 2015.
"As one of CIBC's marketing partners we were tasked to repurpose Gate D22 with a ground-breaking activation that would give passengers an entirely new pre-boarding experience," said Fuse president Stephen Brown. "All travellers are treated to a stylish environment that is a radical departure from most other airport boarding gates and offers them the kinds of amenities they need, delivered to them through the very latest technology available and at no cost to them."
