Moneris introduces small business Air Miles service

Toronto-based credit and debit card processor Moneris Solutions has introduced a new service that allows small business merchants to offer Air Miles loyalty points to their customers. The service is intended to help businesses acquire new customers who are participants in the Air Miles program. It makes use of the company's existing technology. Merchants will be able to set the number of loyalty points per dollar amount spent that customers will receive. Merchants can also offer bonus points tied to local marketing initiatives and in-store promotions.
"Air Miles is a loyalty reward program all retailers and consumers are familiar with, but has typically not been readily available to smaller merchants across Canada," said Jeff Guthrie, chief sales officer at Moneris Solutions. "Thanks to our relationship with Air Miles, we're able to bring this loyalty program to our small business customers and reaffirm our commitment to assist in the growth of small business. This new program helps level the playing field for businesses who haven't been given opportunity to take part in loyalty programs."
