Toronto-based Corus Entertainment has formed an agreement with KIN of Santa Monica, CA to launch a new digital media service called KIN Canada. KIN operates a collection of YouTube online video channels called the KIN Community. Aimed primarily at women, the channels feature lifestyle content covering the topics of food, fashion, beauty, do-it-yourself projects and home life. According to the company, these channels attract approximately 25 million unique visitors per month.

As part of the agreement, Corus will become the exclusive media representative for Canadian advertisers on the KIN Community. Advertisers will be offered media campaigns and brand content integrations with the these digital videos, as well as access to KIN's social media audience. In addition, W Network and KIN will collaborate to develop talent and content aimed at women.

"The strength of Corus Entertainment's established brands coupled with KIN's roster of digital creators on YouTube deliver a broad and impressive audience that will appeal to advertisers seeking the highly-coveted female demographic," said Gerry Mackrell, head of airtime sales at Corus Entertainment. "As Canada's exclusive sales representatives for KIN, we can design and sell fully integrated 360-degree packages for clients that include media buys, branded content, multi-channel collaborations and the creation of new original online series delivered across broadcast and YouTube platforms."
