New Canadian general manager at Rdio

San Francisco-based streaming music company Rdio has appointed Michael Orrbrooke to the newly-created position of general manager for Canada. He will focus on increasing the company's growth in this country, which Rdio describes as its second-largest market. Orrbrooke was most recently president and CEO of Bark & Fitz. Prior to that, he was director of field marketing at XM Satellite Radio and director of strategic sponsorships at Bell. He has also worked for Japan Tobacco International and British American Tobacco.
