Rogers launches Sportsnet Now

Rogers Media of Toronto has debuted a new online service called Sportsnet Now. The service provides live streaming video of all games, events, news and other programming carried by the seven Sportsnet television channels. The service is available free to consumers who subscribe to the Sportsnet television service. It include a web version at <http://www.sportsnet.ca/now>, as well as mobile applications for Android and Apple devices. Users can watch up to four channels at once and receive alerts when certain programs are about to begin.
"This is the pinnacle for sports fans, having the game in the palm of your hand or watching sports highlights from wherever you are, simply never missing a moment," said Pary Bell, vice-president of Sportsnet digital media at Rogers. "Sportsnet Now gives our subscribers the choice to be anywhere, on any device, and still stay connected to their favourite teams, players and Sportsnet programming."
