Stingray Digital buys Archibald Media Group

Stingray Digital of Montreal, a provider of music services for pay television operators, has entered into an agreement to acquire Archibald Media Group of Amsterdam. Archibald owns and operates three European broadcasting services: LiteTV, 100% NL TV and XLNT Radio. XLNT Radio provides music services to pay television operators including Ziggo and KPN in the Netherlands and Telenet in Belgium. LiteTV is a pop music video channel carried by Ziggo, UPC, Delta, Vodafone and others. 100% NL TV is a television channel featuring Dutch music. According to the company, these properties reach approximately four million customers in the Benelux region.

"We have been committed to serving the European market since our acquisition of Music Choice International back in 2011," said Eric Boyko, president and CEO of Stingray Digital. "This latest acquisition strengthens our service offering with the addition of music TV channels that we will offer to our many customers across Europe. This will also allow us to be closer to many of our most important partners and provide even greater local market expertise, now with an operation in Amsterdam."

Stingray operates digital music and video services including Galaxie, Music Choice International, Concert TV and The Karaoke Channel. The company also operates a sensory marketing division called Stingray360 and a music licensing service called Stingray Music.
