CHCH debuts multi-screen viewer loyalty program

CHCH, a television station based in Hamilton, ON, introduced a new viewer loyalty program on June 6. The program, called "Ch-Ching," was developed by SlimCut Media of Toronto and is aimed primarily at viewers who watch television accompanied by a second screen such as a tablet, smartphone or computer.
Participants in the program will receive points when they watch videos, share content via social media, leave comments or watch video ads. Viewers will also be prompted during television broadcasts to complete online actions to gain points. These points can be redeems for various products, gift cards, event passes and coupons.
"Through the data collected, CHCH will get a deeper understanding of its audience while generating more revenue from additional video ad inventory," said Damien Véran, president of SlimCut Media. "We are also eager to see viewers' response, as the multi-screen integration is built to enhance their experience."
