Rogers Media signs video ad deal with SlimCut Media
SlimCut Media has been retained by Rogers Media of Toronto to provide streaming video advertising on its online properties. SlimCut's service will add video advertising to the publication's written content when displayed on mobile or desktop browsers. The ads are programmed to begin playing when it comes into the reader's field of view. The agreement encompasses Rogers properties including Sportsnet, Maclean's, 680News and Chatelaine.
"SlimCut's outstream video format is a great addition to our advertising product lineup," said Andrew Waiser, director of digital monetization strategy at Rogers Media. "We've seen increasing demand for video supply from our advertisers, so we're excited to be introducing in-content video in a user-friendly way."
