Channel Zero buys Andpop

Toronto-based Channel Zero has acquired a controlling interest in Andpop, a company specializing in pop culture-themed video content aimed at teenagers. Channel Zero has created a new division called Channel Zero Digital to develop this property. Robert Ostfield, previously CEO of Andpop, has been appointed managing director of the new division. "By combining the already popular and highly-watched content on Aandpop and ChartAttack with the plans we have for CHCH.com and the other Channel Zero digital properties, we can more quickly build scale and fast track our way into this sector," said Chris Fuoco, vice-president of sales and marketing at Channel Zero.
