HERSHEY INTRODUCES LOW-FAT TREAT

Hershey Canada has put less fat in its York Peppermint Patties. The company launched a low-fat version of the treat earlier this month. The patties are sold in packages of three and have 2.9 grams of fat. The patties are being promoted using point-of-sale materials and posters at college and university campuses. Hunter Straker of Toronto created the POS materials, while Campus Source of Toronto created the posters. TV will be used in the future, to be created by a yet-to-be-named U.S. agency. Canadian media buying will be done by Harrison, Young, Pesonen & Newell of Toronto.
