MEDIACOM LAUNCHES NEW ADVERTISING MEDIUM

Toronto-based Mediacom is introducing a new outdoor medium in the fall called Projection Media. It lets advertisers project still or moving images onto any flat surface such as billboards and building walls. Advanced Communications Group developed the system, and gave exclusive marketing rights to U.S.based Gannett Outdoor, which owns Mediacom. Projection Media will be available for night-time use in Toronto in five to 10 locations this year, and will be available in Montreal early next year. In the U.S., the system has been used by Levi Strauss and Chrysler.
