Astral Out-of-Home resumes Carte Blanche contest

Montreal-based Astral Out-of-Home has begun a fifth annual Carte Blanche for Creatives contest. The contest invites agency creative staff to develop an out-of-home advertisement on behalf of a client. Entries can be submitted in three categories: a French-language vertical advertising face in Montreal, an English-language bus shelter face in Toronto or an English-language digital face in Vancouver. Submissions to the contest website at <http://www.carteblancheforcreatives.ca> will be subjected to online commenting and voting, after which 10 finalists in each category will go to a jury evaluation. One winner in each category will be selected. The winning clients will receive an Astral Out-of-Home campaign, while the winning copywriters and artistic directors will receive admission to the Cannes Lions festival.

"The popularity of the contest is undeniable and it is a great privilege for Astral Out-of-Home to collaborate with and support creatives from coast to coast," said Nathalie Doré, vice-president of marketing and media creativity at parent company Bell Media. "Astral Out-of-Home is proud to stimulate creativity by giving participants carte blanche, the possibility of expressing their ideas freely, without constraints."
