Boardwalk Real Estate Investment Trust sponsors homelessness walk

The Calgary-based Boardwalk Real Estate Investment Trust recently served as the lead sponsor of the "Coldest Night of the Year" event in Edmonton. The annual event, conducted in Edmonton in association with the Hope Mission, works to raise funds for an awareness of homelessness. On Feb. 22, volunteers walked up to 10km through the streets of the downtown area. Similar events took place simultaneously in 64 communities nationally. Boardwalk was also the primary sponsor of the event in London, ON.
"We are proud to partner with Hope Mission, and are dedicated to the success of the Coldest Night of the Year event across the country,"said Sam Kolias, CEO and chairman of Boardwalk. "The funds raised will provide a positive impact to those less fortunate in our community."
The Boardwalk Real Estate Investment Trust is a real estate company that owns and operates approximately 35,000 residential rental units in 225 communities.
