WPP acquires Bottle Rocket

WPP has acquired Bottle Rocket, a mobile application development company based in Dallas, TX. The agency, which specializes in applications for Apple and Android devices, will work in collaboration with various WPP companies. The purchase is intended to strengthen WPP's digital media and mobile advertising capabilities. Bottle Rocket was founded in 2008 and generated US$17 million in revenue in the last 12 months. Its clients include NPR, Scripps Networks, ABC News, National Geographic and NBC Universal.
