NEW WINTER SCHEDULE LAUNCHED BY AIR CANADA

Thirty-nine per cent more flights to Asia, 29 per cent more capacity across the Atlantic and seven new U.S. destinations are all part of Air Canada's new winter schedule, announced Monday in Montreal. The new schedule represents an increase of over 500 flights from last year, representing an overall capacity increase of 10%. Various portions of the winter schedule will be worked into the Montreal-based airline's ongoing print campaign. The new twice-daily service to Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina and the increased capacity along the Toronto-Philadelphia route, for instance, will be incorporated, Air Canada's manager, corporate communications Kym Robertson told Adnews Wednesday. The campaign, seen in magazines and daily newspapers, started this summer and does not have a determined end date. It was created by Markatel/McCann-Erickson Ltee of Montreal, which also buys the media.
