TORONTO AMA ELECTS NEW BOARD

The Toronto chapter of the American Marketing Association has named its new board members for the 1996-97 fiscal year. Lina Ko of NATIONAL PR will sit in the president's chair, while Peter Finlayson of Medicus Intercon has been named president elect. The post of past president is filled by Marc Gonthier of Gonthier & Associates. The vice-presidential posts of communications, membership, human resources and finance will be handled by Alison George of NATIONAL PR, Ash Chopra of Bell Canada, Patti Sanderson of Grapevine and chartered accountant Bernice Pang, respectively. Rounding out the board, Christine Walker of the Royal Bank of Canada, Richard Wolfe of Poststone Management Consultants and Richard Baker have been named directors. TAMA exists primarily to "advance the science and ethical practice of the marketing discipline," says a release.
