RUBEL & SCHWAB WIN "PRODUCT X" ACCOUNT
By Adnews Staff
Rubel & Schwab Communications Inc. of Toronto announced this week that it has landed the advertising business for a new product from Scarborough-based pharmaceutical company Solvay Kingswood. The new product falls into the gastrointestinal category, but all details about it, including its name, are being kept under wraps pending authorization from the Health Protection Branch to bring it to market. That authorization is expected to be granted within a few months, and advertising for the product is expected to begin before the ink on the form is dry. Promotion will involve direct mail and collateral materials directed at health professionals and patients, as well as print ads in medical trade journals. A release says that Solvay considers the product "very significant" and Phil Rubel, managing director of R&S, called the budget for the assignment "substantial." Solvay Kingswood already markets a gastrointestinal product called Dicitel, as well as the anti-depressant Luvox.
