MOTOROLA INTRODUCES TWO NEW PC LINES
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Motorola Ltd. will introduce two new lines of personal computers to the North American market this fall called the PowerStack II for use with the Windows NT system, and the Mac OS-compatible StarMax family. The PowerStack II is currently available, while the StarMax will available Nov. 4. Both lines are geared to small, medium and large businesses. Motorola is known more for providing computer components such as microprocessors than it is for finished computers. This development represents an effort to increase demand for the company's PowerPC microprocessor developed in the U.S. five years ago. In Canada, the launch of the computers is being supported by print ads designed by Sciola Martin Advertising of Austin, Texas. The media was bought by Motorola's U.S. office.
