Electronics retail chain Future Shop, based in Burnaby, BC, has retained John St. of Toronto as its creative advertising agency of record. The agency won the account in a competitive request-for-proposals process involving an unknown number of contenders. The assignment includes advertising strategy and the development of print and digital campaigns for the back-to-school season and the holiday season, as well as multi-channel retail campaigns and increased promotion for products outside the electronics category. "We were extremely impressed by the capabilities and dynamic people we met at John St. during our request-for-proposals process," said Angela Scardillo, vice-president of marketing for Future Shop and Best Buy Canada. "Their creative and focused approach aligns with Future Shop's business objectives to help propel our multi-channel retail messages in Canada." Future Shop operates 140 stores nationally. It is a division of Best Buy Canada.
