Ikea Canada adds interactive features to catalogue
Furniture retail chain Ikea Canada has added a collection of new interactive features to its 2013 catalogue, which will be distributed to consumers this week. By holding a smartphone or tablet over a page of the catalogue, consumers will be able to access videos about and three-dimensional models of various products, or to change colours or see through parts of products. The smartphone application can be downloaded from the chain's website at <http://www.ikea.ca>. The company will also encourage consumers to share pages of the catalogue via the social media website Pinterest. Consumers who do so will be entered into draws for Ikea gift cards. "With the 2013 catalogue we have packed in lots of new interactive features, 300 new products and the latest design trends that truly inspire the imagination," said Madeleine Löwenborg-Frick, public relations manager at Ikea Canada. "We want our customers to interact with our catalogue and experience our products in a unique and creative way."
