AMEX EXPANDS PARTNERSHIP WITH RAPTORS

American Express cardmembers will now be able to reserve seats to all Toronto Raptors games before other fans thanks to an expansion of their partnership with the 2nd-year NBA team. The front of the line seats will become available in October. Cardmembers will also be able to redeem points for autographed merchandise, lunch with Raptors GM Isaiah Thomas or tickets to any game. Amex announced its status as the official card of the NBA and the Raptors last year. Print ads promoting the new program will appear in major Toronto dailies as well as in Raptors programs. They will begin running in late September and will run for about two weeks. The spots were designed by Echo Advertising and Marketing Inc. of Toronto, while media was bought by Harrison, Young, Pesonen & Newell Inc., also of Toronto.
