PepsiCo Canada readies Super Bowl ad

February 3, 2012

PepsiCo Beverages Canada will run a 30-second television commercial called "Interview" in support of its Pepsi Max drink during the broadcast of the Super Bowl on CTV this weekend. The ad, developed by CLM BBDO, depicts a man acting in extreme ways during a job interview in order to ensure that his friend gets the job. The commercial first aired in Canada during the 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships in December and January on TSN. In Quebec, the company will air a commercial called "Max City," developed by Nolin BBDO of Montreal. The ad depicts a man walking around Montreal as people react to the taste of Pepsi Max. "Having created some of the most memorable spots of the last two decades, Pepsi has a rich history of Super Bowl advertising," said Greg Lyons, marketing vice-president at PepsiCo Beverages Canada. "It's a joyful occasion that brings family and friends together, and our family of brands is part of the experience on the screen, in the home and in the retail store environment."
