Transcontinental has appointed Alain Gignac to the newly-created position of chief marketing activation officer. He will be responsible for integrating print products and services, print and digital media, and interactive marketing products. He will begin work on March 5. Gignac was previously the head of BBDO Montreal. He has also worked at Saine Marketing, Cossette Communication Group and Marketel/McCann Erickson.
