Raddar to expand nationally
By Rob Bale
Montreal-based media company TC Transcontinental is preparing to expand its print product Raddar nationally. Beginning June 15, the publication will be distributed to approximately 6.8 million additional households. With its existing distribution of 4.8 million copies in Quebec and British Columbia, total distribution will be 11.6 million. The publication, consisting of news and advertising, is distributed weekly by Canada Post. The company plans to create approximately 500 localized versions, accompanied by an online edition at <http://www.raddar.ca>.
“In an increasingly fragmented media landscape, Raddar’s national expansion has the potential to unlock a new scale of mass media for advertisers and publishers, whether they want to reach 20,000 or 11.6 million households in a single week,” said Sam Bendavid, CEO of TC Transcontinental. “That makes Raddar a compelling advertising vehicle not only for national brands, but also for small and medium‑sized businesses and publishers connecting with local communities.”
