TC Media buys Tout Magazine, launches Valleyfield Express

TC Media of Montreal has acquired the assets of Tout Magazine, a free weekly publication with a circulation of 47,500 that serves the Quebec towns of Brossard, La Prairie, Candiac, Saint-Philippe, Saint-Constant and Saint-Luc. The publication will now be produced under the name Tout Express, but publisher Annie-Julie Ste-Marie and the current staff will remain in place. No financial details are available. "It is with great pride that my team and I are joining the TC Transcontinental family, with whom we have always shared a business relation based on respect and trust," said magazine owner Michel Ste-Marie. "This is a new challenge for us, a challenge that we'll be taking on with enthusiasm." TC Media has also launched a new community newspaper called the Valleyfield Express.ca to serve the residents of the Valleyfield, QC region. The free weekly paper will be distributed to approximately 39,000 households. A website has been constructed at <http://www.valleyfieldexpress.ca>.
