Bell begins Score the First Goal contest

Bell has begun a contest called "Score the First Goal" in association with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC soccer team. The promotion is tied to the team’s move into a new venue, the Bell Pitch, in the fall. The winner will score a ceremonial first goal prior to the first game at the venue on Oct. 2. Fifty secondary winners will receive pairs of tickets for the match. Consumers can enter online at <http://bell.ca/scorethefirstgoal> or at the Bell Box on the concourse at Empire Field during Whitecaps matches. The contest will run until Sept. 24. "Being a fan of the Whitecaps just got better with Bell," said Loring Phinney, vice-president of corporate marketing at Bell. "We committed to an enhanced experience for soccer fans when we announced our partnership, and as the team gets ready to play their first match at Bell Pitch downtown we're delighted to assist them in welcoming fans to their future home and offering the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime soccer experience."
