Interac Association releases new commercial

Debit card service provider Interac has released a new commercial called "Pizza Night" The 30-second ad is intended to promote the use of debit cards to pay for purchases in a variety of situations. The commercial will be shown in Cineplex and Tribute cinemas nationally until Jan. 6. It will also air on television beginning Jan. 3. The creative, developed by Agency 59, depicts a man paying for home pizza delivery with a debit card. The ad also features the Interac Truck, which has been used in the company's advertising since 2007. "Through a fun, fast-paced storyline featuring the iconic Interac Truck, the ad highlights how Canadians prefer to pay using Interac debit," said Nicky Cameron, vice-president of marketing and communications at the Interac Association. "Interac debit enables consumers to make safe, secure and convenient transactions, even at locations that aren't necessarily in-store at the cash register, such as paying for a pizza delivery at home."
