ROGERS REPORTS SECOND QUARTER LOSS

Toronto-based Rogers Communications lost $63.8 million in the second quarter ending June 30, 1996. This compares to a loss of $135.6 million during the same period last year. Revenues were up from $552.4 million to $620.6 million. For the six months, the company posted a loss of $101.3 million, compared to a loss of $193 million a year earlier. Revenues were $1.19 billion, up from $105 billion.
