Matthews Media Directories of Toronto will launch the electronic version of its guide in Canada this fall. The guide will feature 20 ways to search or select media contacts, standard or custom reporting options and over 50 different information fields for each media contact. To promote the directory, Matthews launched a name-the-directory contest this week, which runs until Aug. 19. The winner will receive a gold pen and a free subscription to the product. Print advertising for the product and the contest began this week. Print advertising to support the product launch will begin in the fall. Advertising for Matthews is done in-house. Matthews currently publishes three volumes of its directories which comprises over 48,000 names from over 5,200 media organizations across the country.
