CIBC has begun a series of contests and promotions tied to its broadcast sponsorship of the 2010 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament. Until July 11, customers who purchase any new banking or credit product, or who open or contribute to any investment product, will be entered into a draw for one of three grand prizes of a $10,000 GIC. The bank is also conducting an online contest called "Soccer Everywhere." Consumers can enter by uploading videos of themselves playing soccer in unusual places to <http://www.cibcsoccereverywhere.com> before July 11. The winner will receive a home entertainment centre. CIBC will also begin a national touring promotion this week involving four soccer-playing promotional workers in a branded vehicle who will stop at local tournaments, festivals and bank branches to conduct games, giveaways and skills drills with attendees. This campaign was developed by Fuse Marketing Group of Toronto. "We wanted to bring our broadcast sponsorship to life in communities and in our branches all across the country," said Veni Iozzo, senior vice-president of marketing and strategy at CIBC. "We worked with Fuse to develop a creative and compelling campaign for our customers, employees, communities, and soccer fans in general, while demonstrating our passion for sports and community, and the fans that make it all happen."
