Communications MECA, Palette Public Relations to become Energi PR
By Adnews Staff
Communications MECA of Montreal and Toronto-based Palette Public Relations will merge into a new agency called Energi PR on July 1. The firm will specialize in public relations, social media, digital activities and corporate communications. The three founding partners of the agency are Esther Buchsbaum APR and Carol Levine, who will be based at the company's head office in Montreal, and Martin Waxman, who will lead the firm's digital practice in Toronto. The companies do not expect any job losses to result from the merger. "We believe today's announcement will have a significant impact on the Canadian PR scene by adding a larger, fully bilingual firm poised for growth," said Levine. "While the practical synergies are clear, the fit in terms of corporate culture, values and vision was bang on. The mood at both firms is electric." Clients of Energi PR will include Procter & Gamble, Astellas Pharma Canada, Ford Canada, Travel Guard and Botanical PaperWorks, among others.
