The Globe and Mail has released a mobile application to allow users to access the newspaper's content on smart phones. The application, developed by Spreed, is available for the Apple IPhone, the Palm Pre and the RIM Blackberry line. "Canadians are increasingly using their mobile devices to access news and the IPhone is leading the charge in that trend," said Angus Frame, digital vice-president at the Globe. "By combining the technological know-how of Spreed with the world-class news of The Globe and Mail we have created a one of a kind mobile product line that will help establish The Globe and Mail as a leader in the mobile space."
