PayPal Canada begins Send Money campaign

PayPal Canada has begun a new communications campaign called "Send Money" to promote its service that allows users to transfer money to other users. The marketing and public relations campaign draws on the results of an Ipsos poll that found Canadians most often owe someone money for a shared restaurant bill of a gift purchased by a group, and that three percent of the population fails to repay these debts. The intent of the campaign is to educate consumers on how to pay one's share though PayPal's person-to-person money transfer service using an email address or a mobile phone number. The campaign, developed by Publicis Modem, includes media relations, email ads, on-site ad banners and a website at <http://www.paypal.ca/sendmoneyonline>. Public relations are being handled by Environics Communications.
