Unilever promotes Hellmann's online

Unilever Canada has begun an online campaign in support of its Hellmann's brand of mayonnaise. The campaign, based at a website at <http://www.eatrealeatlocal.ca>, encourages consumers to buy locally-produced food. Consumers can use the site to make a pledge to eat local food. Visitors are also encouraged to spread this message using online services such as Twitter and Facebook. For each person who makes the pledge, the company will donate 25 cents to Evergreen, a national not-for-profit organization that seeks to make cities more livable. Public relations for the campaign are being handled by Harbinger Communications.
