Parmalat readies basketball promotion for cheese snacks

Consumer Impact Marketing of Toronto is preparing a promotion for dairy company Parmalat in support of its Black Diamond Cheestrings and Funcheez snack products. The two-month campaign will take place at the national NBA 3on3 basketball tournaments, which will take place from June 27 to Aug. 23 in London, Moncton, Montreal, Winnipeg, Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver and Calgary. The initiative will include sampling programs at each event, as well as promotional workers who will conduct interactive games with consumers. "As the official cheese of the NBA, we wanted to give families a chance to enjoy great, healthy snacks while having fun at one of the summer's most exciting events," said Angela Kanaris, brand manager at Parmalat.
