French-language schools promoted in Ontario

The Centre franco-ontarien de resources pédagogiques has begun a marketing campaign intended to raise awareness of Ontario's French-language schools. The campaign includes print, radio and online advertising, as well as a new logo for the non-profit organization, brochures, a new website at <http://www.fleontario.ca> and collateral materials aimed at school boards. Print ads will run for a month in Metro Toronto and Metro Ottawa, while radio commercials will air in Timmins, Sudbury, Ottawa and Toronto until May 26. The bilingual campaign was developed by the Cundari Group. "Ontario is home to the second largest Francophone population in the country, and yet many Ontarians are unaware that a complete French-language publicly funded school system exists, offering programs and services from early childhood right through to adulthood," said Gilles Leroux, general director of the centre.
