Telus has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with the Quebec City Remparts hockey club. The company will be the official provider of telecommunications services to the team for the duration of the deal. The Remparts are part of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. "It seemed entirely natural to expand our commitment to encourage the development of young, Canadian hockey players by supporting a team as prestigious as the Quebec City Remparts," said Anne-Marie LaBerge, vice-president of communications and marketing for Telus in Quebec. "Passion for hockey is at the heart of Quebec culture, and the Remparts fans are among the most devoted junior hockey fans in the whole country." Telus is also a sponsor of the the league, the Montreal Junior, the Rimouski Océanic and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.
