Globe and Mail promotes Get Suitable contest

The Globe and Mail has begun an initiative called the "Get Suitable Contest" to promote the newspaper's fashion coverage. To enter, readers must submit a video or written essay describing why they need a fashion makeover to the website <http://www.globeandmail.com/getsuitable>. One male and one female winner will be chosen by Amy Verner, the paper's Style writer. The winners will receive trips for two to Toronto, along with $1,000 worth of clothing, hair styling and makeup. "It's important that Canadians learn how to define their workplace style because it can definitely affect how your manager, colleagues and clients interact with you," said Verner."Dressing like the cool and sophisticated professional you are helps inspire confidence in your work and can lead to that great promotion or raise." The contest, which will run until Oct. 6, is being promoted with print and online ads, as well as street marketing activities.
