Jacob begins Be the Face promotion

Montreal-based women's clothing chain Jacob has begun a contest called "Be the Face" in support of its Jacob brand perfume. The initiative takes the form of a national search for a model to appear in promotional materials for the product in 2009. The winner will also receive a $3,000 wardrobe, $500 in cosmetics and a $500 gift card from Cadillac Fairview shopping centres. Casting calls will be held in Montreal on Sept. 13, in Vancouver on Sept. 20 and in Toronto on Sept. 27. The contest is being promoted online and with in-store materials. "Jacob is an intense yet balanced scent that reflects the essence of the Jacob woman," said company president Joey Basmaji. "Through this contest, we hope to find a dynamic, passionate and confidant young woman to become the face of our fashionable fragrance."
