The Radio Group of Kingston, ON has formed a sponsorship agreement with the City of Kingston for the naming rights to the new Kingston Regional Sports and Entertainment Centre. During the 10-year term of the agreement, the venue will be called the K-Rock Centre. The $3.3 million deal was brokered by Wakeham & Associates Marketing of Toronto. The Radio Group operates three stations in the city. "This is a big win for the new centre and the City of Kingston," said Dan Sherrett, vice-president of corporate alliances at Wakeham. "[The Radio Group] not only names the new arena, it commits to promote its events through K-Rock, KIX 93.5 and The Lake."
