Clear Channel Outdoor to participate in Earth Hour

Toronto-based Clear Channel Outdoor will turn off the lights of a number of Toronto advertising displays for one hour on March 29 as part of an event called Earth Hour. The company's backlit signs and LED screens at Yonge-Dundas Square, as well as 13 billboards along the Gardiner Expressway, will be shut off at 8pm. Earth Hour is an international environmental awareness event during which various cities and companies will simultaneously turn their lights off for one hour.
