Biography Channel becomes Bio

Specialty network The Biography Channel will introduce a rebranding initiative today. The channel will be renamed Bio and will use the tagline, "Great People Watching." Other changes include a new on-air look and a new logo. The programming will focus primarily on reality shows and celebrities. "We are excited to build on our already successful brand with the new look and tagline," said Alain Strati, general manager of the channel. "Bio prides itself on providing programming that is both compelling and entertaining and our expanding line up will provide a fresh new take on the current names and hottest stories in the news in a way that will appeal to a wider audience." The Biography Channel in Canada is owned by Rogers Media of Toronto.
