Samsung begins hockey arena HDTV campaign

Samsung Canada has begun a hockey-themed campaign promoting its line of high definition television sets. The commercial depicts a Zamboni cleaning a cloudy ice rink, uncovering a Hockey Night in Canada logo. The camera then pulls back to show that the image is being displayed on a TV screen. The ad concludes with the tagline, "Samsung. Official HDTV of Hockey Night in Canada." The ad will be displayed on video boards in Vancouver at BC Place, in Calgary at MacLeod Trail, in Edmonton at Northlands and on top of the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto. The ad will run until April 2008. The campaign was developed by Cheil Communications. The media is from Outdoor Broadcast Network.
