Astral Media creates online advertising unit

Astral Media will introduce a new business unit called Astral IMedia on Sept. 4 that will handle advertising representation for its websites. These include musiqueplus.com, vrak.tv, canalvie.com, canald.com, historiatv.com, ztele.com, musimax.com, seriesplus.com, radioenergie.com, rockdetente.com, boomfm.com, ta.tv and palmares.ca. The division will also represent the English-language websites of the Standard Group. Jean-Sébastien Tremblay, formerly of Astral Media Radio Interactive, has been appointed sales director of the new unit. Jean-Philippe Doucet, formerly of Canoe, will be the Internet sales account manager. Marie-Josée Latulippe, formerly of TATV, and Simon Boisvert-Legault, formerly of NetWorld Media, have been hired as Internet sales coordinators.
