Toronto-based Youth Culture Group, in association with Procter & Gamble and Elite Model Management, has begun a contest in its Vervegirl magazine called "New Faces of Canada." The winner of the contest, which is open to women aged 13 to 19, will receive a one-year professional modeling contract. Five regional winners will appear in the magazine. To enter, participants can go to one of 75 participating Wal-mart stores to have an entry photograph taken. Entrants can also submit a photograph through the Vervegirl.com website. The winners will be selected by a panel of judges. Procter & Gamble is sponsoring the contest in the name of its Herbal Essences and CoverGirl brands. The contest will close on Sept. 30.
