Major League Soccer team Toronto FC has signed a sponsorship agreement with Kia Canada making the company the team’s exclusive automotive sponsor. Toronto FC is the only Canadian team in the league. It made its debut earlier this month. As part of the agreement, Kia will receive branding exposure inside and outside the team’s stadium, BMO Field, including one-third of the billboard facing the Gardiner Expressway. In addition, Kia vehicles will be on display at the stadium. “This sponsorship opportunity allows Kia Canada to further expand our brand awareness through soccer,” said Jay Chung, president and CEO of Kia Canada. “Since the 2002 World Cup, Kia has globally partnered with soccer associations. We believe that this is the perfect platform to showcase our product. As a company that prides itself on being young and dynamic, the partnership with Toronto FC ideally fits our marketing objectives.”
