Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership promotes Great Drives

The Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership has begun a promotional campaign in support of its 2007 Great Drives program. The program encourages consumers to take a road trip in Ontario as a summer vacation. Travellers can find information on nine multi-day driving routes at the Ontario Travel website, <http://www.ontariotravel.net/greatdrives>. The promotional campaign, which is aimed primarily at women in Ontario, includes search engine advertising, email and consumer magazine ads. A six-page ad will run in the summer issues of Ontario Travel Discoveries, Today's Parent and Canadian Living. Information will also be included in 1.3 million copies of the Attractions Ontario Passport, which will be distributed through community newspapers, Today's Parent, travel information centres and hotel lobby stands. Free-standing inserts will also be mailed to 75,000 recipients by Ontario Parks. The campaign also includes a contest, the winner of which will receive a 10-day trip for four along the shore of Georgian Bay.
