Molson begins Milwaukee’s Best campaign

Molson has begun an out-of-home campaign in downtown Toronto to promote its Milwaukee’s Best brand of beer. The campaign, created by The Hive Strategic Marketing of Toronto, makes use of a retro look and cross-border themes to illustrate the brand’s American roots and low price. The billboard advertising will run in southern Ontario through the spring. “We wanted to build the brand’s association with true mid-western Americana,” said creative director Phil Sylver. “The challenge was to make it relevant in cross-border markets like Toronto and Hamilton. This led us to ‘Cheektowaga-style price’ and ‘Practically duty-free.’”
