MASTERCARD LAUNCHES ROYAL CARD

Prince Charles is getting into the credit card business. The Prince of Wales is launching an affinity credit card to raise money for his charity for young people, the Prince's Trust. The charity will receive a donation each time the card is used. The card's first marketing push will be on June 29 at a rock concert in London. Organizers will hand out leaflets and applications forms to the 145,000 people expected to attend the concert. The card will carry the Prince's Trust logo of a crown and royal plumes. The card is being operated by Mastercard and the U.S. bank MBNA.
