SONY MOVING JUMBOTRON OUT OF TIMES SQUARE

On June 1 Sony Corp. will switch off a giant TV screen used to beam ads and news high above Times Square in New York. The shutting down of the Jumbotron was prompted by "a change in the lease agreement and a change in ownership" says a Sony spokesperson quoted in a Reuter report. The giant TV is made up of dozens of small screens coordinated by computer. It measures 42 feet by 23 feet.
